Read it this morning. It makes a good point. I don't want less activism on campus in general, but it is outrageous that the activists sometimes want the college to compromise its central purpose.
It reminds me of some people at Germantown Friends who think that the school should be serving the community it's in to the point of liquidating its endowment. Which is obviously crazy.
Aha, I never did send you my comments... sorry. I did like what you were saying, even in the draft. I think there are better ways to address this. I don't know if I'd respect your school if they got rid of the Classics department just to make more room for popular seminars.
