Coming home
Jun. 5th, 2004 09:53 amI've decided to come home. I talked to my prof and he's letting me take Monday off too, so there will be only one tough night of travel instead of two. At this point, when I can spend almost all Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday, and part of Monday in the area, I think it's worth it. Especially since I won't have to be returning to Iowa City at 3:00 am.
Last night Cindy, RaeLin, and Tom came over to our room and we watched The Ring on my roommate Adrian's DVD player. This was a disturbing and frightening horror movie which was originally made in Japanese. Cindy had seen the Japanese version which was apparently worse. The plot centers around a videotape that seems to have fatal effects when viewed; I shouldn't say more.
Today: laundry, Scientific Communications paper, and baking. My sourdough starter seems to be ready, so we'll see what happens with it. There's always supermarket bread if the result is inedible.
