Jul. 5th, 2005 12:49 amHappy Independence Day.
I've written about what I feel about traditions before, especially about the absence of meaningful college traditions at Swarthmore and the ones at Bryn Mawr. Today I was part of a long one... apparently the fire company has been doing water fights with hoselines for children on July 4 for over fifty years. This year's event was at Umoja Park, at Yale and Rutgers, and involved 5 or 6 handlines feeding off hydrant pressure.
