after a really unproductive day (and it's my fault for getting distracted by random things), because statistical optics, a tangle of autocorrelation functions, mutual coherence functions, the Wiener-Khinchin theorem, and a bunch of other things, which never made a whole lot of sense to begin with, are pretty much a fog right now.
