I arrived home from Hogmanay not too long ago. All in all it was a wonderful weekend. Scottish dance is really a lot of fun, and I'm glad that I don't find reels and poussettes scary anymore. Thanks to Kendra for her patient walkthrough/crash course, although I should eventually take the time to really learn Scottish properly. Thanks also to crystalpyramid, tirerim, and anyone else who successfully convinced me not to attempt to dance in dress shoes out of masochism. There'll be so many wonderful memories from that night... Grand Marching with nightengalsknd to the rousing sound of the pipes... the midnight roundsing... finally coming to the end of the night with the Reel of the Royal Scots.
