I just got out of the colloquium given by Prof. Ian Shipsey, a high-energy experimentalist from Purdue University, on cochlear implants. I've promised a number of people a description of the talk, and I did take rather copious notes. But that write-up will have to wait a day or two until I get my E/M and stat mech problem sets done.
