From a recent paper in Applied Physics Letters that I was reading for my soft matter final project:

"The general design strategy for creating photonic structures from cluster building blocks may substantially expands [sic] the menu of colloid-based structures with wide and stable photonic band gaps; enlarging the range of experimental goats. [sic]"
