Aug. 28th, 2007 01:05 pmAlas, despite my awaking at 0545, I did not get to see the lunar eclipse. The moon was too close to the horizon by then, and where I live it is not easy to get an unobstructed view of the sky due to the presence of trees and buildings. Despite a successful (albeit admittedly dangerous) climb onto the roof of my building via the fire escape, I couldn't see anything. I thought about walking down to Harvard and trying to get a view from the upper floors of LISE, but decided that the probability of success was too low and the hassle too high. So I went back to bed.
