Jul. 6th, 2008 11:41 pmHad a mostly productive day -- spent the latter part of the morning reading papers in the Porter Square Bookstore, came home for lunch, drove a Zipcar to Target and did some shopping, then returned the car, walked to work, and managed to figure out some stuff.
Although I do try to minimize the amount I drive (in no small part because of the cost of hiring a Zipcar), it is occasionally necessary especially when one shops and buys more than can be easily carried by one person. I got some things I'd need for Pinewoods, such as an extra pair of swim trunks, as well as some new socks and a new laundry hamper to replace my rather broken one. I guess part of not living in a dorm anymore is that one wants to be able to receive houseguests well, in addition to having more than the absolute bare minimum of certain things. For those reasons, I got an extra pillow as well as some more towels. I also got a new bath rug and shower curtain, to replace our current ones.
