Wow -- the service at Memorial Church tomorrow got cancelled.

This is no doubt me being an old fuddy-duddy, but back in my day I don't think anything short of a nuclear bomb going off in the middle of Harvard Yard would have given UChoir the morning off.

Yeah, you're being a fuddy-duddy. :>) But, in particular, i think what's going on here is that the state/city are saying, "Hey, we want to fix this all over the weekend so that travel can be normal on Monday, why doesn't everyone stay off the roads and let us do that?" They sent a very clear signal of that with the traffic ban, and organizations are following the state's lead. Is that the right call? Remains to be seen. But i think it's what's going on.

Oh, there's no doubt in my mind that it was the right call. And what undergrad isn't going to appreciate a little extra sleep? Just being persnickety...
