Dec. 17th, 2004 02:01 amThe Ultrafast Optics lab report of doom simply refuses to die. One should not, while doing data analysis, find that one's results seemingly violate the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. I'm glad I'm managing to use LyX though; I'm grateful to a couple of people, including
blaketh, for helping out with some graphics issues.
So tomorrow morning I'll talk to Carl about the data analysis issues. I'll have to flush out the conclusion and abstract I just wrote hastily. Then I'll start Frank's HeNe laser lab report, but that should hopefully not be so bad. The experiment didn't even require downloading any data from instruments, so there won't really be any hard-to-deal-with graphs to prepare.
I so can't wait to get home and be away from this place for a couple of weeks...
In other news, I got to go on Engine 14-1 when Swat got called in for mutual aid for a fire in Morton. The Morton fire department got it under control while we were on the road, so 14-1 basically turned around halfway there and Tower 14 came back soon afterwards. Riding with the night air in the open cab of 14-1 reminded me of crazy car rides with the top down in
blaketh's convertible.
