Sep. 14th, 2005 11:42 amSo I got the geometry done around 3:15 last night, although the proofs were not as polished as they should/could have been.
I'll need to get some lunch, and then do my dictations/practice piano/piano lesson/lab. Then afterwards, working on the poster. It just needs to get done before 11. I have no classes tomorrow... so I could crash in the afternoon. Except... oh wait, that's when the poster session actually is. Right... doing fire training tomorrow night on very little sleep could be interesting (and it's an important session, going through the various attack lines we carry and hose handling).
After Music 11 I ran into JimMosk... there's an Orchestra 2001 concert this weekend featuring a concerto for pizzicato piano by Tan Dun. We went in and listened to the open rehearsal for a few minutes. This concerto involves the piano soloist literally plucking the strings and striking them with an artificial fingernail that's been thickened with many layers of nail polish. To me it just seems weird, but if I didn't have Physics Clinic and a ton of work to do, I'd be quite tempted to go for the visual spectacle.
