Jun. 29th, 2007 05:46 pmI was working in the electronics shop this morning when the fire alarm went off. Cambridge FD promptly responded with at least one engine and ladder to the C side of Pierce. A high-rise pack was carried into the building but not stretched.
It turned out that a water pipe had burst over the machinist's office, which was heavily flooded. The machine shop is now closed indefinitely; hopefully Stan will be able to reopen it early next week.
During the fire alarm, a bunch of people from Gerry Gabrielse's lab started an impromptu kickball game. My high school student did pretty well, scoring a home run and making one or two big defensive plays.
