Computer update...

So I took my computer to the User Assistant help desk shortly after it opened at noon, and I've been here since. They were able to get most of my data off the hard drive, and then erased it and reinstalled OS X. I'm now writing this from my computer, and even if I've lost a few things (music, and photos which I do have on CD) I'd consider this getting off cheap.

On the other hand, they now seem to be having trouble burning a CD of my documents off the hard drive they backed up onto...

The new president of Harvard, Drew Gilpin Faust, took office today. To celebrate the occasion she provided free ice cream sandwiches in Harvard Yard.
