meanfreepathNote to self: pastry work in a non-air conditioned kitchen on a warm, muggy summer night is not the best idea.
(I had decided I was going to reclaim the kitchen from the chaos it's seen and is about to see -- the sink goes out of service tomorrow -- by making a peach cobbler with a kick for the BIDA contra dance tomorrow night. The kick comes from a generous amount of fresh ginger and a few splashes of habanero chili hot sauce.)
