Perhaps it was only through divine grace that I managed to pull through this week. My Sigma Xi poster is done, came out pretty good (barring a botched graphic and a messed-up equation, both of which were readily fixed with whiteout, scissors, and tape), and I actually managed to talk to a few people about it. It's not fun to expend hours of effort on something like a poster, only not to have anyone look at it. crystalpyramid stopped by. deaminerva and I basically had our posters across the aisle from each other, and unfortunately neither of our posters were a huge draw. If only more people were interested in physics/astro stuff!
blaketh's practical joke poster appeared to be well-received by the physics faculty.
I need to decide what to do with my own poster. I'm not sure how good it would be for room decoration.
I'm just spent, now. I haven't had a full night's sleep since Monday night. Tuesday I was up until 3:30 or 4:00 trying unsuccessfully to get the poster done. Wednesday night was actually doing the poster, using Chris Cothran's template. That was the night I didn't go home and just crashed for a few hours in the common room around 5:30. And last night I was up late doing Physics 112 and didn't go to bed until nearly 5:00.
Tonight there's going to be a Roundsing. I'll probably go, and then head home, do laundry, and SLEEP.
